Compassion Focused Therapy (COMPLETE)

Over the last few years, research on self-compassion has increased exponentially. Self-compassion provides the foundations for psychological well-being and resilience and has been instrumental in targeting and healing, shame and unworthiness.

Self-compassion practices aim to cultivate kindness towards oneself, and a non-judgemental and less critical evaluation of the self, especially during times of difficulty. It involves developing a more profound sense of self-acceptance and self support through mindful insight, wisdom and value guided action.

Research has clarified the positive impact compassion focused practises have on our emotional states, our interpersonal relationships and even our physical wellbeing.
